Athena II brings together detailed resin printing, force-sensor feedback and the freedom to adjust your own process. As we refresh the Concepts 3D website, here is a look at the current printer, its upgrade options, and the software and support tools around it.
Hardware built for long-term ownership
Current Athena II printers include a 9.6-inch 16K Yellow Polarizer LCD, an 8-bit video board, and the heated Pro Resin Vat. The standard 405 nm light source supports compatible 405 nm resins, while direct resin-temperature monitoring helps you keep printing conditions consistent.
The all-metal body, access panels for major electronics and replaceable modules are designed to make maintenance and repair more straightforward. You can access the components that need attention and choose upgrades for the work you do.
A light source to suit your material
The light engine is interchangeable. The optional 385 nm module gives Athena II another wavelength option for compatible specialty resins.
The optional 385 nm module requires the 16K Yellow Polarizer LCD and resin formulated for 385 nm exposure. It is currently available only by special request, with factory installation. Contact our team to confirm the configuration and arrangements before ordering, and calibrate for your material.

Software for your printing workflow
- Athena WebUI: manage jobs, edit resin profiles, calibrate exposure and review printer feedback from a browser on your network.
- Athena Mobile: check print progress and reach everyday controls from your phone after pairing your printer.
- Proteus Resin Database: find manufacturer-derived and community-contributed starting profiles, save them through the WebUI, and tune them for your material. Exposure calibration is strongly recommended.
- DragonFruit Slicer: explore an open-source model preparation and slicing workflow from the Open Resin Alliance. Current builds are development software; supported features depend on the build and plugins.

Guides and help when you need them
The support page brings together the Help Center and the ways to reach our team. Find setup, leveling and calibration guidance, including the six-tile Exposure Calibration Guide.
For technical help, open Support & Connectivity in your printer's WebUI to submit a ticket with printer logs. If you cannot access the WebUI, use the contact option in the Help Center. Our Discord community is another place to ask questions and share what you are printing.
Choosing a configuration
The Pro Build Arm, Theia camera, chamber heater and Aegis air filter are optional equipment. Existing owners should check their printer's configuration with us before ordering parts. The 8-bit board upgrade is intended for first-batch Athena II 16K machines with the original 3-bit controller. It supports Black and Yellow polarizers; newer printers already include 8-bit control.
Website relaunch offer
To celebrate our refreshed website, new Athena II preorders can include one free add-on through November 30, 2026, worth up to $100 USD. Choose a PTC chamber heater, Theia camera, Aegis air filter or Pro Build Arm when configuring the printer. If more than one is selected, the highest-priced eligible add-on is free; the rest stay at their normal bundled prices. The discount applies automatically in the cart, with no code, and cannot be combined with other discounts.
Estimated delivery for new Athena II preorders is January 2027. This is an estimate and may change. Existing customers should refer to their order-specific updates for the timing of their printer.
