Upgrade part for select first-batch Athena II printers with a 16K LCD. Newer Athena II printers with the 16K LCD include the 8-bit board as standard.
This FPGA-based board replaces the original 3-bit video board in compatible early systems. It provides 8-bit grayscale control and supports antialiasing and 3D antialiasing with the 16K LCD. It works with compatible 385 nm and 405 nm optical systems.
