The Athena II 16K 8-Bit Video Board is a next-generation FPGA-based driver board designed to power the 16K monochrome LCD with improved grayscale control, smoother image rendering, and more precise signal handling. It replaces the original 3-bit video board used in early 16K Athena II systems and is intended for users who want improved print quality and compatibility with the latest 16K hardware.

This upgrade is only for first-batch Athena II printers. All newer Athena II printers equipped with a 16K LCD will include this board pre-installed. Please check with us before ordering to confirm whether your printer requires this part.
